Air Filters and How They Impact Your HVAC Performance

Monday, May 18th, 2020

Do you know why HVAC professionals tell you to change your systems’ air filters every 1-3 months? The answer may surprise you. Homeowners often assume that the reason a dirty air filter is a problem is due to poor indoor air quality and that this is the reason we tell you to clean or replace it. This is partially true, but definitely not the whole story.

This air filter is in place to do much more than preventing allergens from moving back into your home’s airstream. It blocks particles from damaging the inside of your air conditioner by pummeling the components or jamming the fan. When an air filter is too clogged up though, it can do just as much damage to your HVAC performance, requiring you to need unexpected air conditioning services. Of course, we’re here for those services! But we’d like to help you avoid preventable problems like the ones we’ve outlined below.

If you hear suspicious noises, please don’t hesitate to schedule a visit with one of our technicians. Below, we’ve listed 4 noises your furnace shouldn’t be making.

To make sure that your next HVAC system works as effectively and efficiently as possible for the years to come, you want to ensure you work with a professional, to find the best option for your specific home and budget. One of these options is the ductless heating (and cooling!) system.

These systems are great investments for many homes, but unless you invest in professional Denver, CO ductless services, you may suffer from some unique ductless repair needs, as we’ve described below.
